CFN Lawyers Sharing in Beijing - Mainland China-Hong Kong Legal Business Prospects & Cooperation
CFN Lawyers was honored to be invited to deliver a meaningful sharing session on the legal business prospects through cooperation between Mainland China and Hong Kong lawyers on 7 August 2025, at the Anli Partners' Beijing office. It was an engaging afternoon of cross-border legal dialogue among lawyers from Anli Partners, Temple Chambers, and CFN Lawyers.
International Arbitration and Cross-Border Enforcement of Judgments
Senior Counsel Mr. Laurence Li, BBS, SC, JP, and Counsel Mr. John C.K. Chan from Temple Chambers kicked off the session by sharing solid hands-on experiences and practical tips in handling international arbitrations involving commercial disputes. Next, our partner Ms. Bonita Chan and associate Mr. Walter Tsang discussed about reciprocal enforcement of Mainland China and Hong Kong judgements, along with practical considerations related to application for asset freezing order in Hong Kong.
Capital Markets, Funds, and Wealth Management
The session is followed with presentations by our partners, Mr. Patrick Wong and Mr. Kelvin Li, who provided an update on A+H share listings, alongside a comparison of Hong Kong and U.S. listing pathways as part of strategic business planning for corporate clients. Additionally, our partner Mr. Keith Kai Yuan shared our experiences in fund practices and how to structure funds to accommodate clients’ needs. Finally, our founding partner Ms. Bowie Fung concluded the sharing by discussing the emerging trends in family offices and wealth succession for high-net-worth families.
