Acting for the plaintiff in a commercial dispute for engineering and construction work for telecommunication networks. The plaintiff was a sub-contractor of such works and the defendants (4 defendants) were related companies and were the main contractors. The disputes consist of the plaintiff’s claim that the defendants have failed to pay up for works completed, against which the defendants counter-claim for the plaintiff’s breach of agreement for failure to continue works until completion as agreed. The disputed amount was over HK$8 million. The case was finally settled by mutual consent.

Acting for the plaintiff in a civil litigation case for recovery of debts incurred for supply of goods under a Sales and Purchase Agreement. The debts, over HK$3 million, was successfully recovered for the plaintiff from the defendant’s guarantor despite the bankruptcy of the defendant purchaser.

Acting for the defendant in a water seepage dispute case. The defendant was the occupier on the upper floor of a residential building. The plaintiff, (the lower floor occupier) alleged that water seepage occurred in the defendant’s unit causing wetness in the lower unit. Assistance was provided to the defendant to engage professional surveyor and negotiate with the plaintiff. The case was finally settled after mediation by mutual consent to carry out repair by joint contractors at shared costs.

Advising client in an employment dispute. Client was an employee dismissed by the employer after many years of service. Assisted client to successfully sought payment of the Long Service Payment eligible under the Employment Ordinance.

Acting for the wife in a divorce proceedings, and successfully obtained court order granting custody of children and divorce alimony.

Assisting clients, both the wife and the husband, to obtain grant of divorce order by join application.

Acting for the applicant in a probate case in which the applicant was the son of the deceased mother and was residing in Canada. Grant of Letter of Administration was successfully obtained from the court.

Acting for the applicant in a probate case in which the applicant was the son of the deceased father and both the applicant and the deceased father were residing in Serbia. Grant of Letter of Administration was successfully obtained from the court for the administration of the deceased’s assets in Hong Kong.
