Bowie Fung is a founding partner of CFN Lawyers LLP.  She has 20 years of extensive experience in corporate finance and capital markets, covering initial public offering (IPO) projects, corporate restructuring, M&A, joint venture formation, private equity, China-related corporate & commercial matters, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal control, company secretarial matters, and other general commercial legal matters.   Bowie has accumulated substantial and practical experience in local and international law firms. Bowie also worked at BOC Hong Kong, a blue-chip listed company in Hong Kong, where she gained her insight and practical experience in daily business management and operations in listed company.   She is the first batch of lawyers who passed the 2021 Examination for Hong Kong Legal Practitioners to Practise Law in the Greater Bay Area.   While devoting to her practising solicitor career, Bowie is also committed to contributing to society. She has been appointed by the Hong Kong Government as a member of the Hong Kong Air Transport Licensing Authority since 2022. Bowie also acts as the HK Legal Adviser of International Association of Registered Financial Consultants of Hong Kong and Macau, as well as the member of Advisory Board of Global Family Office and Wealth Management Hub (established under the Institute of Knowledge Exchange) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. She is currently a member of the Family Office Practice Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong.   Bowie is awarded as “A List – China’s Elite Lawyer” by China Business Law Journal in 6 consecutive years (2019 to 2024).

Thomas focuses his practice on corporate & commercial, foreign direct investments and regulatory compliance. Thomas has extensive experience in advising listed issuers, sponsors and underwriters in initial public offering projects, post listing compliance matters, foreign direct investments, corporate restructuring, corporate governance and internal control, joint ventures, China-related corporate & commercial matters, intellectual properties and other general commercial matters.   Thomas qualified in Hong Kong in 2003. He has worked in several multi-national law firms such as K&L Gates, SJ Berwin LLP and DLA Piper Hong Kong. In addition, Thomas has also acquired experience in PRC-related matters when he worked as the legal advisor of China Resources Enterprise, Limited.   Thomas founded CFN Lawyers in 2013 and set up the 1st branch in 2015. Christie also advises on mergers and acquisitions; pre-IPO investments; corporate restructuring; China-Appointed Attesting Officer services; and wills and probate matters.        

Patrick has been practising corporate law for over 20 years and has assisted clients from different jurisdictions in respect of their needs including fundraising through equity and debt, investments, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, takeovers, and mergers and acquisitions.  Starting with pre-listing investments, Patrick guides clients through the process of successfully listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Following the listing, he continues to support clients’ legal needs, including regulatory, transactional and governance compliance, as well as secondary market fundraising through placings, rights issues and open offers.
