Ricky is a distinguished JD graduate from the City University of Hong Kong, having qualified as a lawyer in Hong Kong in 2015. He specializes in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, bringing extensive experience across various litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, corporate issues, SFC regulatory matters, contractual disputes, land disputes, building management issues, tenancy disputes, debt recovery, and cross-border litigation.   In addition to his civil practice, Ricky is adept at handling criminal cases, including investigations by the ICAC, SFC, and CCB, as well as offenses such as drug trafficking. He also manages a diverse range of general practice cases, encompassing matrimonial law, probate, insolvency, money lender claims, and various applications, including company reinstatement and obtaining leave to convene Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs).

Kevin focuses his practice on M&A and wealth management.   Kevin commenced his legal practice in London, UK, having spent more than 10 years working for major UK and US international law firms. With over 20 years of practice, Kevin has played an instrumental role for SOEs, MNCs, private equity funds, family offices, global multilateral organizations and sovereign wealth funds in large-scale and complex M&A and capital markets projects spanning five continents across diversified industries.   Kevin also has over 7 years of combined experience as General Counsel at a family office focussing on private equity fund investments and a leading global IPO service provider. As part of the senior management of an SFC-licensed global financial institution, Kevin has tremendous insight into the legal service requirements of global MNCs and dealing with regulators across multiple jurisdictions.   Besides, Kevin is also a licensed financial planner in Hong Kong. He is adept at leveraging legal and commercial thinking in the financial planning profession to assist company founders and high net worth clients on matters pertaining to cross-border asset planning and management, global asset allocation and the preservation and succession of family wealth.

Kelvin is a corporate partner specializing in capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, takeovers, and other corporate & commercial transactions. He has more than 12 years’ experience in Listing Rules, Takeovers Code, Companies Ordinance and Securities and Futures Ordinance. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous mega size transactions and has advised various corporations including but not limited to Blackstone, KKR, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup and Yunfeng Group etc.   Kelvin qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2013 and has previously practiced in a few top-tier international firms including Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Kirkland & Ellis.

With over 20 years of legal practice experience, Keith Yuan is qualified to practice law in Mainland China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and England & Wales. Keith’s practice focuses on the establishment and compliance of Hong Kong investment funds, private equity investments in the Greater China region, cross-border asset and wealth management, and overseas capital markets transactions. He has extensive hands-on experience in cross-border investment structuring, as well as data and financial regulatory matters.   Keith has been consistently recognized by The Legal 500 and IFLR1000 as a Highly Recommended Lawyer in the Investment Funds category for the Greater China region.   Prior to joining CFN Lawyers LLP as a Partner, Keith worked for several years at the Hong Kong offices of two leading international law firms—DLA Piper and Goodwin Procter. He also served as the Managing Partner of the Hong Kong office of a major Mainland Chinese law firm, where he led the firm’s Greater Bay Area practice group. In addition, Mr. Yuan was previously Head of Legal and Compliance at a licensed private equity fund in Hong Kong, giving him valuable in-house regulatory experience.

Samuel obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2012 and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws in 2013 from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Throughout his legal career, he has gained experience in a broad spectrum of commercial works and litigation cases. During his training and subsequent practice, he assisted in or handled an array of varied matters ranging from acting as general legal advisor for the private sales division of one of the largest global brokers of fine art, negotiating commercial contracts for local and international organisations, to overseeing a trademark enforcement scheme initiated against a sizeable number of defendants in Hong Kong. Prior to joining CFN Lawyers, he was practicing as a litigator primarily in the areas of civil litigation and intellectual property litigation with a focus on an enforcement practice for local and US based retail brands.

Sanny specialises in a wide spectrum of civil and commercial practice encompassing commercial litigation, contentious company matters, shareholders and investors disputes, debt recovery, liquidation and insolvency proceedings, enforcement of judgments, asset tracing and recovery process.
